I had been to Ghent many times prior to my tour with Ghent-Authentic. I was aware that it was Belgium’s hidden treasure and so when I was asked to do a school trip to Belgium I knew that Ghent would definitely be on the list. However it seemed I had not seen Ghent at all! Every building, street corner, and cafe had its own story to tell, making the tour a fascinating experience even for those who think they know Ghent.

From the first contact every effort was made to make this tour personal and inspiring for its audience. At the start of the tour, the students discovered that the very stones they were standing on came from their home country, India. They were intrigued. The guide’s flexibility allowed for unscheduled coffee breaks and last minute changes based on interests. In fact, with such enthusiasm it hardly felt like a tour at all, but more ..... a friend of a friend showing you around their hometown.
